Photographer, Jean Donaldson,has put together a wonderful gift for Dunoon Burgh Hall and its many community supporters.
With the hall now closed for a major repair and renovation programme, Jean Donaldson has put together a collection of photographs as it was before it closed.
Her photographs and text are online here – with the unexpected tribute delighting the team and providing a memory that will be necessary when the splendidly renewed building reopene, offering a very new world for community activities and events.
This will also be part of the arhive of the halls progression from the massively public spirited revival by th Dunoon community for whom this building is a sort of talisman – and fuelled in every possible way by the locally born and internationally practising architect, John McAslan, his wife Dava Sagenkahn and the McAslan Family Trust.
The Burgh Hall team will be launching a new fundraising drive very soon, with Jen Donaldson’s gift providing just the sort of positive endorsement to prompt supporters to make a donation [online here].
Every penny will add to the quality of the restoration and fit-out of the building and the quality of the work it will enable with the community.
